About Me
I have tried to do this blogging thing many times before… probably too many times to be proud of. I never fail to sort of putter out and the blog dies with all the honor and bravado of a raccoon attempting to cross the expressway.
I wanted to make this attempt different… and over 100 posts and a year later, I think I’ve succeeded.
With that, let’s get to know me, shall we?
My name is Jeney. And no, that’s not pronounced “genie” – like in a bottle. It’s “jenny” – like 867-5309. To be honest it is supposed to be pronounced “ya-nay” – like a French girl (but I’m really Slovak, not French at all). But you can just call me “Jen” if all that just made your head explode. Just don’t ever call me Jennifer.
I am a twentysomething who grew up in a southern suburb of Chicago but my family moved to Milwaukee a week before I left for college my freshmen year. I was stuck in Indiana for five years while I got my undergrad degree and held my first post-grad job.
Then I moved to Fargo, North Dakota. Voluntarily.
I am a proud owner of a Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame, IN. When I am not consumed by my job or studying for my Master’s Degree, you can find yours truly reading something she failed to read for her High School lit classes or something that may confirm her closet nerdiess.
She also likes to pretend she is still an athlete and runs competitively. For fun. Although she is not very good at it. Jeney is an avid budding chef and loves everything that has to do with minced garlic, olive oil, and her crock pot. She loves a good TWSS joke and hates it when people don’t understand sarcasm.
She apparently also slips into the third person without realizing it.

I love you and your BLOG!
